Fleurance Nature is committed to a fair-trading approach with this local company, controlled by ECOCERT Environnement based on Fair for Life guidelines.

In Burkina Faso, almonds and shea nuts are collected and processed mainly by women. They have excellent knowledge of how to produce shea butter but lack the facilities and resources to make this an economically viable business. Fleurance Nature shea butter comes from a fair trade sector in Burkina Faso within the scope of a fair trade agreement with the APESF (Association pour la Promotion Economique et Sociale des Femmes - Association for the Economic and Social Promotion of Women) and the Kombissiri group.  APESF is committed to complying with the ORGANIC and Fair for Life specifications regarding the quality of the finished product in particular. The purpose of this partnership is to allow the group to progress and develop in order to gain full independence and subsequently generate an income which is redistributed fairly among the members.
