Melatonin, commonly called the "sleep hormone" or "hormone of darkness", is naturally produced by the brain during the night. It plays an essential role in synchronising the body clock at nightfall (internal circadian rhythm). Its secretion regularly falls with age from adolescence onwards, until it represents only 10% of its initial level at 70 years of age**. Melatonin is widely recognised by the scientific community to take part in reducing the time required to fall asleep. It also helps reduce the effects of jet lag.

The Melatonin Complex contains 1.5 mg of melatonin, i.e. the effective recommended dose to help reduce the time required to fall asleep and minimise the effects of jet lag. This formula is complemented by vitamin B6, renowned for its actions in reducing fatigue and by lemon balm extract to contribute to maintaining a healthy sleep and optimal relaxation.

Nutritional advice

Recommendations for use:

• Take 1 tablet as required in the evening before going to bed with a large glass of water.

• To reduce jet lag effects, take 1 tablet before going to bed on the first day of the journey and for several days after arriving at the destination.

 

Precautions for use:

• Food supplements must not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Do not exceed the recommended dose.

• Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.

• Excess consumption may have a laxative effect.
