Description - Wintergreen essential oil

Fragrant wintergreen is highly aromatic thanks to its leaves which have a strong, persistent odour of camphor. Its essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the leaves. This process involves steam entrainment of the volatile components (essential oil) of the leaves. The steam then condenses in the essence recipient, separating the essential oils from the hydrosol (water).
Wintergreen essential oil is mainly known for its soothing, calming properties due to its high methyl salicylate content - its main ingredient.

Applied to the skin or as a massage, it is used diluted in vegetable oil to relieve joint discomfort and tense muscles.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Dilute 1 drop in a 50-mL bottle of vegetable oil and massage into the skin.
Precautions for use :
- Hazard
- Harmful if swallowed. If swallowed, contact an anti-poison centre or doctor immediately.
- May cause a skin allergy. If pure essential oil comes into contact with the skin: wash thoroughly with water. Consult a doctor in the event of skin irritation or rash.
- Causes serious damage to eyes. If the product comes into contact with the eyes: carefully rinse with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if the victim is wearing them and if they can be easily removed. Continue to rinse.
- May impair fertility or cause harm to the foetus. Consult a doctor in the event of proven or suspected exposure.
- Toxic to aquatic life. Causes long-term harmful effects.
- Keep out of the reach of children.
- Use as directed.
- Never use pure. Do not swallow.
- Do not eat, drink or smoke when handling this product.
- Not recommended for pregnant or breast-feeding women and children under 15 years of age.
Remember to sort your packaging.
Dispose of box in the recycling bin. Dispose of bottle and stopper in the glass recycling bin.
